French Napoleonic Backpack for Historical Reenactment | Cow Hide | 18th & 19th century
This is a accurate reproduction of a French Napoleonic Backpack, made according to the original regulations.
It's made from cow hide, as the originals. It has 3 closing leather straps and buckles, and on top it has two straps and buckles to secure the blanket or greatcoat. A third larger strap is also included to fix the roll to the backpack.
Inside it has two main compartments, and a smaller one on the side (where I usualy place my brush and spare socks).
All these products that I make, are made with historical accuracy in mind, and I research as many original sources as there are available, in order to offer you a good and authentic product.
As a reenactor myself, I understand the importance of good quality and handmade products for our reenactment endeavours.
These backpacks take a long time to make by hand. Please allow time to make your order
